Public education in Uganda extends only until the equivalent of 8th grade and resources are stretched thin. Opportunities for orphaned children are rare. Future Victory School, FVS, was established in the year 2000 as a response to an avalanche of orphans created by AIDS and the Civil War in Uganda.
