Save the Ugandan National Mabira Forest from Sugarcane Plantations

President Yoweri Museveni,

The forests of Uganda are an important natural resource that needs to be protected for future generations of Ugandans.

Do not give the Ugandan National Mabira Forest to the Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited for the expansion of sugarcane production. Uganda has plenty of unencumbered land that can be cultivated for sugarcane.

There is no need to choose between economic growth and the environment.

We support sustainable development and the conservation of Uganda's national forests.
